Tall Clubs International is an IRS-approved, not-for-profit Corporation. As such, it must tend to matters of the Corporation to retain that status. Per the TCI bylaws, our Corporate structure consists of a primary governing body called the TCI Executive Board.
The Executive Board tends to the regular business of the Corporation and oversees all related matters. Some of their duties include filing Corporate papers in a timely manner, publishing ExecuTALLk (the TCI newsletter), and paying any bills TCI may incur along the way. It assists local Clubs in any way possible to help keep them running smoothly. The Executive Board also oversees the activities of Miss Tall International® and her mission to garner publicity for TCI by attending Club Weekends and other events throughout her reign.
Corporation business is conducted at the TCI Delegates' Meeting, which takes place during the annual TCI Convention. Each Member Cub is represented, either by an official Delegate, or by a designated proxy. It is during this meeting, that officer nominations are presented and the Delegates vote to fill open positions for the coming term. Proposed Bylaw revisions are discussed and voted on at the Delegates' Meeting, and locations of upcoming conventions are selected.
