TCI Student Scholarships
Annually, at TCI Convention, TCI awards student scholarships of up to $1000 each to tall students
who are under 21 years of age and attending their first year of college in the following Fall. The recipients
must also meet the TCI height requirement minimums of 5'10" for women and 6'2" for men.
Interest in this program from outside our organization has skyrocketed due to scholarship data-collecting
businesses including our program in their "Lists" without our consent. For all interested parties, the program works
like this. Please read carefully!
Each year, usually after the first of the year, each TCI Member Club has an opportunity to gather information on local
students seeking scholarship assistance. This information gathering is accomplished in several ways from a member assigned to organize
a scholarship drive; to a Club meeting simply selecting a known student as a candidate for a TCI scholarship award. There are no rules on
how a local Club selects their candidates; simply that they may select ONE candidate and submit their name to the TCI Alternate Executive
Club for consideration.
TCI has forms that are downloadable by any Club member in the Member Services Console pertaining to student scholarship
candidate submissions by local Clubs to the Alternate Executive Club prior to a cutoff deadline date. The Alternate Executive Club
then determines from these submitted candidates, who the scholarship award winners are. The winners are announced to the Clubs involved so they may make the scholarship presentations to the winners at their graduations.
If you are interested in applying for a TCI Scholarship Award, read on carefully.
- Currently, you must contact a TCI Member Club closest to you for sponsorship.
- Even if they do not have an active Student Scholarship campaign, they may simply appoint you as their candidate.
- Your local Club also may choose NOT TO PARTICIPATE!
- Select the TCI Member Club closest to you from the list of Member Clubs here at this website.
- This link will take you to a map. Click your state and see what TCI Clubs may be closest to you.
- If you locate a TCI Member Club close to you, send them email to the listed address asking about their Student Scholarship program.
- If they reply they do not have one, ask them if you can be appointed their candidate anyway.
- If they reply no, then you have no further recourse at this time.
- A TCI Member Club "closest to you" is defined as within 100 miles.
- At this time, the ONLY WAY to be considered for a TCI Scholarship Award is via a local TCI Member Club, as described previously herein.
- We are sorry, but this program is not currently configured to allow any other methods of consideration for students to receive this award.
- The scholarship data collection businesses should never have included this program in their Lists and did not have our permission to do so.
- Please do not send email to any email address on this website pertaining to questions about this award, other than your local
TCI Member Club email address. If you have no local TCI Member Club, then you cannot participate in this program. Plain and simple!
- Please do not send any emails to any TCI Foundation member with questions pertaining to this program. The TCI Foundation does not award
scholarships, it FUNDS THEM ONLY! The Foundation does not participate in the Awards selection processes.
