She works as a management executive and has interests that range from music to dancing to sports, such as volleyball, tennis and basketball.

If she were chosen Miss Tall International®, she would promote tall awareness. Her tall stature has given her the opportunity for positions of leadership.

Debbie later married Mark Rethemeyer. She was honored as Kae Sumner Einfeldt Tall Clubs International Woman of the Year in 1988 and served as TCI President for the 1989-1990 term.
