My reason for wanting to be Miss TI: I love being tall and I have found being a part of TCI to be a rewarding experience and being Miss TI would help me represent TCI well.

Rita was the tallest participant in the 1984 Miss Tall International® pageant.

In 1989 Rita was chosen as the eleventh Kae Sumner Einfeldt TCI Lifetime Achievement recipient.
