To become a member you must be 21 years of age, and be 5’-10” tall or over for women, 6’-2” or over for men. New members are measured in stocking feet prior to acceptance.  The club accepts both married and single people, but married people must join as a couple.  Spouses of eligible people may join as associate members if they are not tall enough for membership themselves.

The club is very ethnically diverse, with members of nearly every race, religion and profession, with a large number of professionals and business people.

Don’t be concerned if you’re not “really tall”.  While we do have a number of members in the 6’-8” to 7’-0” range, most of our members are within four or five inches of the minimum for their sex.

Currently the club is 57% female, 43% male and 85% single.

TCNYC is a member of Tall Clubs International, and members may attend all TCI events, including the National Convention.  They may also attend events at any of the other TCI clubs nationwide and most clubs in Europe and Scandinavia.  That includes Tall Club Weekends.

Tall Club Weekends are a special treat, and most clubs host at least one.  Each party usually lasts three or four days, and includes dances, parties and sightseeing.  75 to 400 people from as many as 25 different clubs may meet to renew friendships and spend a day or two exploring a city away from home.

Getting Started -

Trial Membership (Free!)  We can't ask you to join our club until you've met us and enjoyed at least a couple of our events (it says so in our charter!).  Therefore we are offering complementary 2 month memberships for all NY metropolitan area tall people. To receive a full membership application and trial mailings, please fill out the membership application form.  If your browser is not forms capable, please mail your request along with your street address to membership@tallny.org or call our club hotline.

Full Membership.  Annual dues are $50 ($75 for couples) payable at the time of membership application and renewable on anniversary of joining.  If you are married, you must join as a couple.  The Calendar of Events and our "Tall Metropolis" Newsletter are included in your dues.  Members of other TCI clubs can subscribe to our Calendar of Events and "Tall Metropolis" Newsletter for $25 per year.  Members of KLM clubs please contact us about overseas delivery.
