Why: Because John has a fireworks stand and gets them at cost. BATT paid for $200 worth of fireworks, so come out, eat, drink, sit in the hottub and enjoy the light show when it gets dark. Bring a side dish or something to put on the smoker, and whatever you want to drink.

ASTROS BASEBALL

Why: The roof will be closed and the A/C on at the stadium. Plus the ‘stros play the Rangers for the first time at home this year.
Where: Minute Maid Park, downtown, Meet at Larry’s Big Bamboo entrance on the Texas Street side of the stadium next to the stadium clock tower. Look for R.B. in the outdoor seating area.

Why: There are 2 great fireworks shows you can see from my Marina or the Boardwalk, one on the lake and one in the bay. I will have the grill going and there is a hottub and pool to enjoy. Bring something to cook and drink.

The Bay Area Tall Texans (BATT) was formed in 1990 as a sister club to the Towering Texans of Houston (TToH, ). BATT's base of operation is in southeast part of the Houston metropolitan area, but we host events all over the greater Houston area. BATT is also a member of Tall Clubs International (TCI, ).
The purpose of the Bay Area Tall Texans is to promote tall awareness by fostering fellowship and friendship among tall people while sponsoring activities of interest and benefit to all.
Membership is open to all adults 21 years of age or older. Women must be at least 5'10" tall in their stocking feet; men must be at least 6'2" tall. As a prerequisite to joining, we ask all prospective members to attend at least two (2) social activities and one (1) membership meeting. Prospective members will be eligible to receive three months of complimentary newsletters before joining.
Membership dues are only $25.00 annually for single members and $30.00 per year for married couples. Dues are due on September 1st of each year and are prorated for new members.
